does anyone else find it REALLY difficult to decide how they wanna landscape
like i'll plan one area of my town, spend a few days creating it and then think "...no I want a different colour scheme and that PWP doesn't look right" etc
anyway i'm about to start renovating like, half of Cryptid just because I'm bored of it and I'm really worried I'm gonna screw something up lmao, wish me luck guys

I agree! I set my mind to a theme i like, see something cooler on pinterest or something, then end up changing it up again.
It's especially annoying when you have to move hybrids, cut and plant new trees/bushes etc.
Good luch with your town btw :)

Yes! This is why I was so relieved to finish all my main landscaping in my town omg. I feel like I'm free to just hang out and have fun there again. I would lose inspiration and direction constantly and felt nothing looked right.

Ugh I relate so much. Similar to the comment above, I'll see something on pinterest or tumblr and get inspiration from it. But then get frustrated when I can't get the landscape items, or haven't unlocked the PWP. I'm in a new town atm and not one person has suggested any new PWP' and I've been doing the diving trick for like 2 days in a row now.

Saaaaaaaame.
Landscaping is my favorite yet worst thing to do in my town. I decided to completely change my town a while back, and it was a huge mess. Flowers everywhere, saplings and stumps all around. But it's so much better now, and I enjoy landscaping a lot more!

so far I've got rid of all my flowers and mushrooms (i put them on the beach) so i can rearrange them, i've got rid of a badly placed PWP and my town feels like a clean slate :')
right now I'm gonna go look for some inspiration and do a little time travelling so my trees can grow, i'm so excited about this asfkjsdgjs
i'm glad i'm not the only one who gets Stressed TM by landscaping omg

Recently I've been having a difficult time figuring out my historical themed area. I've built totem poles, pyramids, sphinxs over and over again, and they aren't cheap ._. For some reason I'm just not satisfied with that area's landscape, I have settled with an arrangment but I'm not happy about it than other areas. I know one reason is because I can't do what I want because of how the land is, but maybe once I get all of my dreamies in that area, I'll like it more, as it's empty currently.

I'm expecting that I'll get to that point in ACNL too eventually. I'm actually planning on getting a 2nd copy of NL just for building themed towns, making a DA for them and resetting it once I have a new idea. That way I can keep my forever home safe and sound while still getting the chance to experiment and explore

I completely overhauled my landscaping in Clover from a Japanese forest town to a pastel pink town. It took quite a while, but I love how it turned out!

I feel that! I started a completely new town and I've been struggling so much. I don't want any empty spaces but it takes sooo long and I'm so indecisive with everything

Mandala still has no permanent PWPs because I’m so indecisive. I haven’t planted a single shrub yet either. My problem is that I like the police station kind of behind the campsite but the ideal space for the campsite is lower left of event plaza so why bother putting the police station there, it’s point is to find out who’s in town right, so it should be nearer mayor’s house or logically sort of near town hall or train station... And where I’d like to put the cafe is sort of to the left behind Re-Tail beneath the town hall and fountain but it’s. So. Permanent. And I’m terrified of making a decision and then regretting it. So I just play with my villagers, collect shells, shake trees and hit rocks, water the flowers, pick fruit, fish and collect bugs and dream of the day I’ll finally get to worry about landscaping.

i placed most of my permanent PWPs without thinking it through At All, so now i'm just trying to work around them agsdgkjsh
like i didnt make any HUGE mistakes but 99% of me playing acnl is just going "goddamn it August me why'd you do that"
