Lamp Question

So on the first day I EVER had ACCF, i found the lamp. Then, on another user, the genie showed up. I wanted the person who already had the lamp to get the wishes. So I buried the lamp, but he hasn't showed up since. By burrying the lamp have i buggered it up in some way?

I found one in my friends town and later while we were catching bugs (he time travels) wisp showed up and the next day his weeds were gone Oh and btw it was a Monday all though it may have been coincidental
