I don't see a problem with this when it's for a really low tier. A lot of People don't accept lurks for low tiers at all (Which I've been thinking about doing). I don't want to wait more than 30 minutes for someone to come online when they usually don't for 2 - 3 hours. Especially since it's a tier 4/5 villager.
I always wait for lurkers for 1-2 hours (usually about an hour and a half) with higher tier villagers before posting them in the thread. and even after they're posted the lurkers have some extra time to notify me before someone else takes the villager.

It's completely random who ends up in boxes. So I cant really say how long it will take. But Erik is in boxes now, and I'll probably be holding him for another 3 hours (or until someone takes him)
