Keyboard problem, help urgently needed!

So, I was visiting a friend's town and talking to her as normal, when all of a sudden, the enter key went all gray/shaded and I was unable to send out any messages. I left and tried restarting the game, but I'm still having the same issue. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

Isn't there always a separate enter key that isn't the send key? And you can only send with the send key?

May be a connection problem. Try turning off the 3DS and then turning it back on.

Oh wow, I am a total dunce -- I've just realized my error! Sorry for the disruption, I feel like an utter and complete fool now XD
