Keeping a plot from being sold

I don't want a random villager moving in to my last open plot so if I keep rewinding the clock to the afternoon to prevent that, does it work? The next day doesn't start until 5am right?​

That is correct, another method you could do is stay in the airport. So if hunting on Mystery Tours a plot will not get filled until you exit the game or leave the airport.

Not sure if putting the switch to sleep will trigger anything. So cannot say one way or the other.

I TT'd forward a whole week and nobody moved into my empty plot But that space will likely be filled with some random in 1 or 2 more days

Oh wow! I've only had a day go by before someone moved in. I've visited multiple towns in the last week so I'm just worried someone will move in immediately because of it lol
