Hey, I know this sounds a bit strange but it was on my mind as Katrina was in town today.
When you get a reading from Katrina and she gives you clothes or accessories that you should wear for good luck, does it actually effect anything? i'm asking as I've never actually tried it. Does something happen if you do/don't follow what she says? I know it wouldn't be anything big or serious but I was wondering if it had an effect on anything.
Or is it just a case of the mayor constantly tripping up unless you wear the clothes that she has stated?
I am intrigued~~

TL;DR: If you get a fortune for good luck, wearing that item will give you boons depending on the luck category, such as being able to more easily befriend villagers of the same gender as your player.
If you get a fortune to avoid bad luck, wearing the item will stop the bad luck from having an effect, so like you mentioned, your player won't trip if you wear the item she recommends if you have a bad health fortune.
