I have had the game since Jun 9 and the witch or uhh Katrina still hasn't built her store downtown,I feel I have seen her more than 20 times because I go to her every time I see the tent. Is anyone else going through this?

I believe it's the 21st time you go to see her with your mayor character that she'll tell you about opening up a shop. Maybe your at the 20 and only need one more? I felt I had more than 20 also when I finally got her to open up shop in my old main town so I feel your pain =/

beside the mayor, i believe other villager can add to the count toward the 20 mark. so if you haven't done so, you can just make 3 more alts and visit Katrina. So with 4 villager visiting Katrina, she should set up shop after 5 visit. 4 x 5 = 20. villager from another town dose not add to the 20 count. i could be wrong on all of this info. can someone double check this info?

That's correct although if you're going to do it all at once, on the 21st and last visit make sure it's the mayor who is the one visiting last, otherwise you'll have to wait until she comes back to visit again for her to want to open shop.

I've had the game since launch, and I just got her shop a few days ago.

This is one of the perks of having three characters (Mayor + two path mules). I restarted my town on January 18th and I have 14 visits now. Don't worry, she will request it when the time comes.
