The magaphone is pretty much broken. Only Kapp'n responds to it, it think it's a Kapp'nphone.

But try to say the names with a sight Japanese accent, that seemed to help it work a little better for me and a few other people I know

He's actually never responded to mine but I've used it a total of 3 times omfg, it's too awkward for me

Omfg don't apologize you didn't take anything over!! XD I've seen screenshots where he does try to set people up -- matchmakers are cute, but Kapp'n doesn't always know when to quit

Actually, I heard in the Japanese GC version or something, he'd actually say stuff like "want to sneak a kiss? don't be worrying, my wife wont know, yar har har" and creepy shiz like that xD

Oh? Implying he was wedded then, as well? o: Now that's interesting. Though, others say the wife and child are both new, so I'd probably want to see a source for that. Then again, sometimes creators retcon lore and act like they never did something in the first place XP

Hmm I don't remember him ever saying anything about a wife back then, though it might just have been a line of dialogue I never came across. I wounder if i google hard enough i can find a script with everything he said in the previous games....
