People usually give the villager 10-20 mins before being voided and cycling on c:

It depends on the cycler, but I've seen people generally holding villagers between 10-30 minutes. It's also up to them if they wanna hold them longer.

I personally hold them for 30 minutes. I make exceptions when they're the last one for the time being (and/or I'll be back later that same day)
