just noticed first 3 (lazy, peppy & normal) will have the same house?

so i was looking at some screenshots & then later on visiting friends with same villagers as me and i noticed some villagers have different houses???? first i was like why do some towns have punchy with natural brown house like my first lazy and why some have his blue furniture like mine? i thought, do villagers have randomized houses?

until i noticed a pattern and saw marina on friend's island with a pink e-girl looking house and just realized their houses are just containing what you crafted for them early on. i feel so dumb.

was the point of having to plot 3 houses and craft materials for them is so you can have more DIYs? that's kinda so random.

Yup, the first 3 houses you're asked to craft furniture for are identical for everyone which is very disappointing. Since later on, villagers will all have customized interiors to match what they personally like. All 5 initial villagers will miss out on this :/

i know!! it's kinda sad, seeing what marina's house actually looks like vs what she has on my island. her official interior is very much more like her.

same the color scheme kinda matches (prob because of personality) so i wouldn't have guessed it as well.

i've been TTing an absolute ton and have not seen reneigh, puddles, aurora, or teddy (4 of my 5 initial villagers, didn't keep the other one) replace their crappy generic furniture with what they should have. i've seen a screenshot of puddles' real house and for me she doesn't have that, just the same peppy furniture that other starter peppies have, after being on my island for over 100 hours of real time play and a bunch of months in terms of TTing. i'm hoping maybe if i gift her the stuff she should have she'll put it in her house, but i still need to find images of what my other 3 starters should have inside of theirs.

that's interesting, i would love to see someone try. personally i wouldn't yet because i already plotted their houses to where i wanted to very early on.

No, That didn't help. I've moved both of my starting villagers houses and they still have the same crappy furnitures.

Yeah, it kinda sucks how they have the same basic houses that don't really fit each of them. Thankfully the default normal house kinda fits Skye with that blue wallpaper so it could be worse for me.

I do wonder though: if any of your 5 starting villagers move out and someone adopts them, will they have the same basic house when they move into the new town or will they have their "official" one?

I wonder if they move out and someone picks them up from your island... when they move into the new island does it use the basic furniture they had or does their house reset into their actual house?

I know in NL they just had everything carry over but idk if this ones different.

I've heard some people say that when another person's starting villager moved onto their island, their interior changed to their "real" house, which is good if it's true because I'd be so sad to adopt someone without knowing they were gonna have awful default furniture. I haven't been able to test it for myself though!

That’s honestly really disappointing I doubt Nintendo would do anything about it unless there were lots of complaints, but I still hope they would eventually patch in their real houses.

I just adopted someone's starter Peppy Wendy, so I'm hoping that her house will be her "real" house on my island, and not the basic peppy one from the start of the game

They’ll have their official ones! I actually traded my three starter villagers (Marina, Stitches, Audie) back and forth with my brother to get their official houses. Even better - they remembered me and my island.

Oh, that's so disappointing... I guess Frita, Hamlet, Erik, Nana, and whoever my Peppy villager is will suffer... Though right now Frita and Hamlet's (starting villagers) houses are pretty barren. Do they get more furniture as I progress?

They don't use everything and seem to never use floors/wallpapers.

Yeah I thought this was super weird too, and kept waiting for their houses to be upgraded. I guess I'll just keep giving them nice furniture in hopes of them using it in their house, but their basic wallpaper and flooring will always bug me. I hope Nintendo fixes this in a future update!
