katt is making me rip my hair out right now.

i pushed her around, i buried pit fall seeds to make her fall into, i slapped her with my net, i opened her presents before delivering them and i ignored her whenever i could. today, she finally ping'ed me to tell me she'd move out on the 6th and i was just like, "don't let the door hit you on your way out!" ...and then she tells me she's sad that we never became friends but wants to try once again!

what am i doing wrong? do i have to set her house on fire?

Being mean to villagers doesn't make them want to move. You are better off completely ignoring them or killing them with kindness.

When she changed her mind you should have closed your game without saving. The next time you restarted she would ask again and have a different answer.

I'd suggest befriending her. She's probably in that awkward zone... when they're at max friendship they seem to stop doing the "actually wait we need to work on our friendship" thing, and just go if they're gonna go.

I actually have a friend that desperately wants Katt in his town. Crazy, I know. But apparently he likes her because she is so stupid looking that it makes him laugh.

But anyway. Contrary to popular belief hitting your villagers with nets and throwing them into pit falls actually makes them stay for longer. The best way to get them to move out is to ignore them completely.

First of all, hitting villagers actually decreases the likely hood of them moving out. You should just ignore her. Also, if you tell her to leave and she refuses when she pings you. Reset the game and she will ping you again and that time she may accept moving out.

How could you do that to Katt? I had her in my town and she was lovely. :c

lol jk (kind of) but yeah, you should probably befriend her by doing things like requests she has for you, sending her letters, etc

Yes. Burn it. Burn her whole entire house.

you have no idea how much i'd actually love to do that :D i'll sent a letter to nintendo: "please include a flamethrower in your next ac-game!"

ohh, okay, i didn't know that. i thought making her mad or sad would make her want to get away more quickly. themoreyouknow.jpg!

i was tempted to do that but i had catched so many new fish that day i didn't want to lose, so i kinda swallowed that bitter pill. is it 100% sure to say she would have said the opposite?

meh. she makes me rage every time i see her stupid face so it's probably better for my blood pressure to just ignore her.
do villagers with max friendship levels just move out without saying so? :o *chains kabuki to his house*

No, they'll tell you if they have the chance - I mean, if you miss their pings to leave all five days or something, then tough luck, but they will still try to tell you if they want to move. :p

But yeah, I know what you mean. StreetPass is killing me, moving all these uglies into my town. Pancetti moved in a while ago and I was so happy she finally left, then yesterday I see Tex's ropes in my town and was like "noooooOoo". Still, I had to resist pushing Pancetti into holes and did favors for her and everything so she'd leave.

I think that the whole "ignore villagers so they'll move out" thing is a myth. I tried it with two of mine, Crackle (Spork) and Joey, but it didn't work. Talking to them and doing stuff for them worked like a charm both times.

It works but takes three weeks and up.

In my main town its usually the villagers that I talk to and do stuff for often that want to move out quickly. In my 2nd town its usually the ones that I ignore completely. So I'm guessing that best friends and villagers that you ignore move out at about the same rate. The thing is that it is much easier to ignore them than to constantly do things for them and if you ignore them then you dont have to worry about accidentally convincing them to say if they ping you.

if your friend wants her, i can pm you as soon as she's in boxes, if you'd like.
also thanks for the video, this was very helpful :3

so it's confirmed, all villagers are masochists.
i really want to start a dominatrix/bondage cellar town now  i'm weird.

meh. i probably wouldn't have such an issue with her if she didn't plant her house right in front of the mayor's office and murdered a lot of hybrids and bushes in the process. it's just the dumbest place ever but when she moved in, i didn't know about the resetting trick so i was kinda out of luck.

phew! you had me scared there for a minute because that was actually what happened with one of my favs hamphrey - we were bestest bbbbbbbffs and then he just moved on day without telling me. :'c *curls up in a ball and eats a lot of ice cream*

i was lucky with street pass so far - ruby moved in from another person's town and i love her to death. i think that's the only one i got over street pass. but i always have a weird feeling if i have new street pass meetings and an open slot because you never know what ultimately comes out of it. i'm definitely happy that savannah took the tenth spot in my town, now i can run around with my 3ds in my pocket without worrying about it too much.

Poor Katt. I love Katt and I'm really happy she's in my town.

But yeah, as all others have said, hitting her and being mean to her will only make her stick around longer. I made the same mistake before and the villager who was supposed to move out decided to stay.
