I just got this game because a friend told me to get it, and she told me alot about it to where I got kinda confused about where to even start

What should i focus on first being a ne w player and all

well you should first start by making money I guess hahah to pay off loans and get started with stuff :)

btw I can help you out by giving you some bells if you'd like! just let me know if you'd like some :D

There will be a tutorial about building your house, introducing yourself to your villagers, doing what Isabelle says, etc. I suggest following it first until those things are done. Then you'll slowly get more shops opening in the main street so you can buy more things. Make bells by selling fish, bugs, shells, items, fruit because you'll need bells to buy anything. Talk to your villagers to be their friends.

Those are things I'd start out with.

I'd say your main priority should be to do the things that take days to do, so getting 100% approval rating, paying off your first debt, ect. That way you can gain access to other places quicker instead of having to wait a week or so to unlock the Island and such. So, just fish around to get money and trash, which will boost your approval rating.

Don't play online too much, you'll ruin the game. Trust me, I did it before and regretted it so much that I reset.
I would recommend:

- Don't sell your tbt. You start with 1000 and 100 is worth up to 20 million bells. It may be tempting, but what's the point of playing when you have everything within your first day?
- Limit the amount of villagers you adopt (check the Villager Trading Plaza). Try adopting only one villager (must be free) per week or two, or something like that.
- Only ever buy DLC and foreign event items -- don't buy anything you can obtain in your own game, including hybrids, saplings, and bush starts. Pay for these iteme with your tbt bells so you don't have 5000 within five minutes.
- Play online with people and do tours and stuff! It's fun!
- Don't sell your items, since a lot of people here give waaaay too much money since they either supe or unintentionally trade with dupers/people who traded with dupers. Giveaways are cool though.
- Decide whether or not you want to time travel. It doesn't matter if you do or don't, either way is fun.

You can decide on who your 10 Dreamies are going to be, if you're planning to get permanent villagers (the Villager Trading Plaza is where people buy/sell/giveaway villagers).
I guess you can unlock the QR code machine by talking to Mabel (the one that's always working on the sewing machine) for a week. Pretty useful if you want specific ACNL paths.
To make quick Bells, you could sell your TBT here. I believe the rate is like 8mil per 100TBT? The price has gone up and down-ish...I remember when it used to be like <1mil XP
Or you can buy turnips and sell them for a high price. Sometimes people in the Train Station section post their high turnip prices, and you can sell at their town.

Some people like doing those things and playing online though. I know it's just stuff you recommend but it seems like you're really really limiting yourself in how you play. That's fine for you of course but sometimes it's also just as frustrating for it to take forever to obtain stuff like hybrids, bushes, etc which is why people like to buy them. Unless OP time travels a lot it'd be impossible to get everything right away anyway, even if they did buy and sell on the forum.

Dreamie? QR code machine? TBT?

So far I have a tent with a mailbox LOL

Dreamie - A villager that you really love that you want to get in the game.

QR machine - if you talk to the NPC in the back of the Able Sisters (clothing shop) for several days in a row, eventually she'll unlock an extra sewing machine you can use to read QR codes (which you can use for custom clothes, paths, patterns) or make your own QR codes for things.

TBT - the currency on this forum (listed as 'Bells' under your icon). The more you post and longer your posts, the more you earn every time you make a post.

Thank you! What about eggs, that's by my TBT thing too.

This game is so overwhelming at first. Just finish Isabelle's tutorial and focus on small goals, and don't compare a weeks worth of your progress to someone else's 6 month game progress.

I would just follow Isabelle's instructions and talk to your villagers. You villagers will give you a lot of advice and stuff too! Do the favors for them and stuff as well, work on getting all your tools so you can fish, catch bugs, and plant trees! When I started I planted a lot of fruit trees they are good to make money, especially if you find your perfect fruit and plant more of those. They are worth more than the fruit that grows first, and also the fruit that Isabelle gives you are worth more money than your town's fruit! Good luck and have fun, that's the most important!

ALSO don't forget to water your flowers when Isabelle gives you your watering can, they'll wilt if you dont!

.Make bells

once you get the island go there around 7pm and catch the beetles on the palm trees. You will need to go slow or they will take off. A pocket of those are worth a lot.

.Don't play online as much

I kind of ruined the game for myself. It is tempting but it isnt as fun when you get everything right away. The only thing I really have left to do in my game is plan out my town.

.Plan your town

If you like paths then make some. Or get some QR codes. You can map out your town. I like to arrange my trees and bushes/flowers but if you like the natural look then go for it.

Oh, and get all your tools. Those will be helpful.

Yes it was but I think I got a handle of it now
Someone here pointed me to a few guides online that helped out

I found a perfect peach, what about that one

I just got to the island so I will check that out, thank you

The perfect peach you should plant! It will grow into a perfect peach tree (three perfect peaches instead of 3 regular peaches) and you can harvest these and stack them together into baskets to sell etc. if you take them to a town that didn't start with peaches they are worth A LOT more!) Also perfect trees die after 5-8 harvests of peaches so make sure you replant them!

you can plant it by digging a hole with your shovel and burying it in the ground C:
