Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. I was off and since I spend all day on the computer, it's nice to take a break. Plus, I had a story I had to finish proofreading before submitting it. Anyway, I'm back now. :)

I started out, as I always do, watering my flowers. I have every house lined with them, although the combinations may change later, and beds of each type, to encourage hybrids. I didn't have any yesterday, but lots of regular flowers.

Stitches pinged me, asking to come over. We headed back to my house and he took the whole tour. I was a little embarrassed to let him see my left-side room, because it's only the initial build and I don't really have much there, but he took it in stride. After he left, I resumed my tour of the town. Snagged my fossils, got the ore, and headed over to see Blathers.

He said he already had everything, so I was able to sell it all to Reese. After that, I went back to Main Street for some shopping. Nook didn't have anything of interest, and the Nookling Bandits were looking a bit sparse, too. I got a top from the Ables and a pair of glasses from Labelle. Didn't really need them, but I'm working on getting the mannequin from her. Kicks had a pair of shoes I needed for my catalog, and Leif was selling a sapling, which I planted down around where the lighthouse will be.

I kept Cyrus busy with refinishing furniture. Most of it was passed on to the other characters for their houses. I did receive a Classic Vanity, which I wanted to keep for myself. I had it done in chocolate wood, but Shari pinged me as I was on my way home with it. Grr.

Moral of the story: make sure you have an empty envelope to stash important items in so pesky villagers don't steal them!

All the refinishing has been paying off, though; Phineas stopped me at my house and gave me the Refurbishing Beginner Badge.

Rizzo tries to be the crusty old guy of the town, but he's really the biggest softie. Too bad he doesn't let everyone see it.

Anabelle wanted to play Hide-and-Seek last night. I wish they'd suggest that more often, because it's really a fun game. She got Purrl and Stitches to play, as well. I found Purrl easily, because she hid near the Plaza, but I wasn't able to find Anabelle and Stitches for the longest time. Then I decided to try the beach. Stitches was at one end, hiding behind a coconut palm, and Anabelle was at the other, behind a banana tree. I hadn't realized they could go on the beach before. I wonder if that's true of the island tour, as well, because I know I've missed one here and there.

Everything should have been fine after that, right? Nope. About an hour later (after I came back from the island), Anabelle ran up to me, crying buckets:

Yeah, apparently, the flowers were saying that she wasn't supercute anymore. I wasn't aware that we had talking flowers in town, but what do I know? I told her it wasn't true and she was very adorable still.

Maybe I should suggest to her that she seek professional help. I'll have to keep an eye on her.

I did manage to pay off my loan on that room, so Nook said he'd start building the last room for me. I'll still have to upgrade both of them, but at least my house won't look lopsided from outside.

Oh that's cool! Rizzo is so sweet! And the talking flowers were very interesting!
I actually believe she could be telling the truth, I mean she is a talking anteater.
I really like your nickname too!~Sprinkle calls me Sweet-K.
I'm really happy you got your house upgraded! I have yet to even think about paying off that

I've had Rizzo in just about every game I've played, all the way back to ACGC. I had thought about moving him out, just to get to know a different cranky, but I've become very fond of my little mouse.

Talking flowers are a possibility, but I'm also convinced that Anabelle has a crush on Antonio, so I'm questioning her grasp on reality, anyway. ;)

My nickname around town started out as "dearie", then went to "E-honey". Pekoe pinged me this morning to ask about changing it and suggested calling me "lamb". We'll see how long it takes to spread throughout town.

Aw, you'll get your house upgraded. And think of all the interest you're currently earning on your savings account! :)

Aw Anabelle, don't worry. Just ask Antonio, I'm sure he thinks you're cute!

And oh my gosh that totally got me too the first time I played hide-and-seek and someone was on the beach. xD Then I realized that more often than not, there's always one character who hides on the beach. Little tricksters.

I really wish you could kind of nudge villagers into being couples of some sort. I'd totally be hinting to Antonio that he should tell Anabelle she's cute.

I'll definitely check the next time I play on the island. I know they stay pretty easy to spot in the easy level, but intermediate and expert might be why I can only find three sometimes.

She wanted to play again this morning, in the rain. And she shaved 5 minutes off the time. Maybe she thought I found her too quickly last night. ;)

Hm...I actually don't think they hide on the beach in the island game. o: I've just noticed that whenever someone wants to play in my town.

You should totally send letters to Anabelle saying "I think Antonio likes you" and vice versa and see if that gets them anywhere. x)

I should! It would be cute if they wrote back mentioning something.

Hide 'n Seek is fun! The beach is the best place to look.

I also love your nickname. I'm known as Nutmeg. :)

I love playing hide and seek with them. I hope Anabelle keeps asking to play.

Aw, Nutmeg is a cute nickname. :)
