Resident Night Mare
Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. I was off and since I spend all day on the computer, it's nice to take a break. Plus, I had a story I had to finish proofreading before submitting it. Anyway, I'm back now.
I started out, as I always do, watering my flowers. I have every house lined with them, although the combinations may change later, and beds of each type, to encourage hybrids. I didn't have any yesterday, but lots of regular flowers.
Stitches pinged me, asking to come over. We headed back to my house and he took the whole tour. I was a little embarrassed to let him see my left-side room, because it's only the initial build and I don't really have much there, but he took it in stride. After he left, I resumed my tour of the town. Snagged my fossils, got the ore, and headed over to see Blathers.
He said he already had everything, so I was able to sell it all to Reese. After that, I went back to Main Street for some shopping. Nook didn't have anything of interest, and the Nookling Bandits were looking a bit sparse, too. I got a top from the Ables and a pair of glasses from Labelle. Didn't really need them, but I'm working on getting the mannequin from her. Kicks had a pair of shoes I needed for my catalog, and Leif was selling a sapling, which I planted down around where the lighthouse will be.
I kept Cyrus busy with refinishing furniture. Most of it was passed on to the other characters for their houses. I did receive a Classic Vanity, which I wanted to keep for myself. I had it done in chocolate wood, but Shari pinged me as I was on my way home with it. Grr.
Moral of the story: make sure you have an empty envelope to stash important items in so pesky villagers don't steal them!
All the refinishing has been paying off, though; Phineas stopped me at my house and gave me the Refurbishing Beginner Badge.

Rizzo tries to be the crusty old guy of the town, but he's really the biggest softie. Too bad he doesn't let everyone see it.
Anabelle wanted to play Hide-and-Seek last night. I wish they'd suggest that more often, because it's really a fun game. She got Purrl and Stitches to play, as well. I found Purrl easily, because she hid near the Plaza, but I wasn't able to find Anabelle and Stitches for the longest time. Then I decided to try the beach. Stitches was at one end, hiding behind a coconut palm, and Anabelle was at the other, behind a banana tree. I hadn't realized they could go on the beach before. I wonder if that's true of the island tour, as well, because I know I've missed one here and there.
Everything should have been fine after that, right? Nope. About an hour later (after I came back from the island), Anabelle ran up to me, crying buckets:

Yeah, apparently, the flowers were saying that she wasn't supercute anymore. I wasn't aware that we had talking flowers in town, but what do I know? I told her it wasn't true and she was very adorable still.

Maybe I should suggest to her that she seek professional help. I'll have to keep an eye on her.
I did manage to pay off my loan on that room, so Nook said he'd start building the last room for me. I'll still have to upgrade both of them, but at least my house won't look lopsided from outside.
