Lolmao, get ready to be like 'WTF?'
So yea today in college we were doing 'Team Building' and 4 of us (theres 5 in the class but the 5th person had a sprained ankle) were told to work as a team and make a bridge using paper which should hold a box of eggs and let a water bottle go under it.
So i was Elected team leader so i immediatly set out the base idea. Now i was with two of my best friends (Bayley and Nate) and a girl (Amy) so yea.
Anyway so i'm half way through my idea which was getting alot of praise from Nate, and Amy was basically not joining in and looked bored. After another minute the teacher picked up on Amy's boredom and asked her 'You got any ideas Amy?' to which Amy replied 'It doesnt matter does it?' so obviously i was like 'wtf?!' but i thought it wise just to ignore it and continue.
As i started to finish my idea she got up and pretty much growled 'Im going outside before i start throwing stuff'. Basically failing the whole task for the rest of us. We were sent to break and she was sat outside the Cafeteria looking pissy and i thought i should address the problem and i just asked 'Whats the matter?' she just started ignoring me and walked off.
I then went back into class and the teacher tried to have a dig at me saying MY leadership was incorrect.
I calmly said,
" I was at the end of stating a basic structure which everyone could give feedback on when i had finished, never once did she put up her hand or even show any indication of not liking the idea, so i didnt think she didnt like it, i gave her a task for her and nate to do, she agreed to do it without a single problem. Nate was quite happy with what i was doing and bayley was as well."
The teacher then *****ed saying 'I had not followed the rules we had made' (basically like listen to everyone etc'
I just pointed out Amy hadnt shown ANY indication of ever wanting to voice an opinion, i also then pointed out this.
"If this had been a REAL live job operation and I'D been the boss she'd be fired. I have had to sit through a 40minute+ presentation of a website layout i had spotted problems with and i had not liked and i didnt like it, but i sat quietly and waited till the end to voice my problems and just made notes of the problems during the speech. My ideas were taken into account by my boss and are currently in use. I had only been talking for 2/3minutes and she kicked off, in the real world no boss would let her walk out, they'd just tell her shes fired."
C+C and has anyone else had anything like this?
