• The results of the egg decorating contest have been announced! Everyone's designs were amazing! Congratulations to our winners!

Judge my paths, please.

okay, i'll start with the things i didn't like quite as much, i guess. they're all little things though!

personally, not a huge fan of the pattern hanging off of the edge of the cliff, but with some of the villagers houses so close to the edge, that's not really avoidable! also, i noticed that some of the patterns are Xs and some are /s and I didn't really see any balance in how they were laid out, so it looked kinda strange? maybe stick with one or the other? also, it sort of works with you leaving the original stone pattern in front of the shops, and connecting your path, but around the plaza it just looks sort of unfinished? either have it all with your custom pattern, or continue the path from the edge of the original pattern, like around your shops?

other than that, it's super cute! i love the actual pattern itself that you chose, and i'm sure it's nice to lay since you don't have to worry about corners and edges! the town is really nicely divided, and the overall spacing and everything is really nice!

The first thing I noticed was that the right side of the path connecting to the town tree wasn't symmetrical to the left. I believe it's missing a few squares. What happened to the pattern you created with the small, dark indent in the middle. I thought that one looked really nice. :)

Thanks for the feedback! I tweaked some things, and it's looking a bit better. :)

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's mainly because of Robin and Puck's homes. I'm trying tog et them out anyway, so I guess the issue will be fixed eventually. ^^

I see what you mean. I can't get it symmetrical due to a stupid boulder... ugh.
As for the indent path, I just felt like this one was more Autumn-y, heh.

no i get it about the cliff overhang! skye just moved into town and she's one of my dreamies but she's right by the cliff sooo just kinda have to live with that one, hah

I'm really bad at judging, but there's one thing that struck me: when a path leads to a villager house, the path is in front of their house sign, then not in front of the door and then the path continues. It looks kinda stange, and though you can't avoid it with Robin's house, you could with Puck's, Fang's and Coco's house.
I also noticed you have pretty much paths in the part of your town above the river, especially around the plaza & train station. It takes up a lot of place, and you could use that space for more PWPs etc. I'd personally make the paths less (3 paths in a row with 2 spaces and 3 spaces inbetween is a bit too much to me), but it's your choice if you'd like to keep it like this. Everyone has their own taste. :)
