Job at Best Buy

Though gigs are great (they pay well), they don't happen often enough, at least for me. So guess what I did today...

I applied for a job (tech expert/consultant) at Best Buy, specifically their Geek Squad department. Have any of you guys ever worked at Best Buy or known anyone that has? Have any good/bad experiences you're willing to share?

my brother worked at Best Buy until he went to college, he liked it... He was one of those people constantly asking you if you're "finding everything you need", and deals with parents that have no clue what console their kid has.

Oh, so he was working in Media/Games as a Sales Associate? I was thinking of applying for that, too, in case they didn't have a Geek Squad job opening.

The people I know who work/have worked at Best Buy have hated it, however 90% of people I know who work in retail hate it.

To me, it seems that the Geek Squad usually has people older than you....

I didn't know you actually knew that much about computers, either.

Nope, I talked with the store manager, they said they accept 16-year-olds... so I'm good.

Well, you learn something new every day. : ) FYI, I'm the go-to computer guy for all my relatives and friends, haha...

Edit - I haven't ever worked in retail, so I don't know what to expect. Oh well, we'll see soon enough.
