I've just bought a custom-built gaming PC. What are some PC games I have to try?

I've owned TF2 for over a year now, but I didn't really play it very much because my poor old laptop couldn't really handle it very well. Apart from that, what other games should I try?

What kind of games are you interested in trying? Multiplayer, singleplayer... shooters, action. Anything?

I'm going to throw out some games I've been playing lately:
Killing Floor, Hitman: Blood Money, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

One that isn't out just yet, but I will always recommend it is: Dark Souls.
So much love for the game, when it comes out later this year it's going to kick even more butt.

Oh yeah, I have Killing Floor, but I've never really played it much because, y'know my laptop kinda sucked. I guess I'd like to try out some multiplayer games, but I wouldn't mind trying some singleplayer games, either. I'll take a look at Hitman and S.T.A.L.K.E.R, though.

Single-Player Games: Skyrim, Dead Island (which is really cheap on Steam at the moment), Diablo 3, Trine 2, Portal 2

Civilization V if your intro strategy games, Red Orchestra 2 for a good WWII shooter and for single player get Fallout New Vegas to mod the hell out of it and Deus Ex Human Revolution because I don't need a reason it's so good
