I'm salty about the event disrupting the blizzard. I've never seen it before, I was hoping it would at least start after the event but it doesn't seem like it has been for the people who TT'd forward. Fml man.

I feel your pain. The blizzard is awesome, and I always take it for granted. Guess the joke's on me now. Stupid effing fishing tournament. >.<

I (and i'm a 37 year old woman, btw) always get excited when i see the first snow fall in my town. Now if it'd just snow in real life where i live i'd be even more excited!

At least the blizzard happened in my GCN towns and they are completely covered in snow. One of the main reasons why I don't like most of the changes to events in New Leaf (excluding Toy Day) is that they can sometimes happen on an important day and that's what happened here: the stupid, crappy fishing tourney that I don't care about was switched to Saturdays instead of Sundays, causing it to happen on the same day as the blizzard whenever there's a leap year. Nintendo (or Monolithsoft as they develop the games) really needs to fix this by putting fishing tourneys back to Sunday instead of Saturday, or allow the game to handle two events at once. Maybe that would happen in the next game.
