It's really hard not to spam...

I don't consider myself a spammer. But apparently I am and a lot of you are, too. You just don't realize it.
See, when I enter a topic, I start discussing something. I do discuss the things that are relevant to that topic. But as in real life, conversations can lead to new ideas. It slowly goes off topic and it's hard to avoid. Each new post is relevant to the previous or last-quoted post. But it goes off topic of the original post and is considered spam.

I wish it wasn't.

When I think of what spam is, I think of someone venturing into the newest topic and post some kind of non-sense and leave just to get their post-count up.

You can say things like that, but only if you have it pertaining to something or have something else in it.

Spam is unnecessary posts, or over posting in some cases, like posting in every topic, even though you don't feel like posting, but do it anyway to raise your post count... Also, flaming, or quoting someone saying: lol, cool, etc.

I think spam is just advertising, uneccesary posts, posting random pictures or saying things like hi, wassup, who wants my fc? (on the wrong subject of course)

ALSO Useless posts like in a topic about something and somebody pops in and says WHO WANTS TO BUY MARIO ITEM??!!11!!

Last but not least. One word posts like "Ok" or "No"

Spam is something people like Horus(JK) and Tye post.

Or, in simplicity, anything generally annoying such as one word posts, the overuse of emoticons, the flooding of topics with posts to boost count, posts that don't really contribute to the topic, double/triple/quadruple posting because no one replied to their first post and etc.

I think spam is just off-topic posts. Like, when we're talking about something and then someone says "Hey does anyone have grass patterns?" or "Hi." Useless contribution to the thread is what I consider spam. As long as it pertains to the topic, is not spam.

It isnt hard not to spam. As long as you add something important or relevant to the topic, then you aren't spamming. We all do it from time to time
