Tan is nothing dealing with racism. Your skin gets darker, it is not perm. If you don't know what melanin is then you'll understand this. Melanin makes your skin white and your hair black or your eyes the color they are. If you didn't have these you be albino. You don't have to have melanin for your body as I said you are albino if you have white hair and white white skin. The less melanin you have is the lighter of your skin and African American have more then usual that is why there hair is black and there skin is brown. So if your tan and you are white then you have less melanin but the sun tans you but there are some people who are born with a tan and you can but you have a lot and some little to make you tan.

That's really not race. It's ethnicity. It's just where you're born and raised.
