I have now seen a house centipede in real life before seeing one in Animal Crossing.

I have caught every bug EXCEPT the house centipede (and the fly, but that's just a matter of visiting a town with a raffelsia or something) and I Just. Can't. Find. It!

sigh... It was oddly attracted to a popsicle stick that someone left in the basement. Too bad there's no popsicle item in AC.

have you tried hitting the rocks? that's how I've seen and caught a house centipede.

Yeah, I tried hitting rocks, I TTed to the proper time, still nothing. I guess I just have really bad luck or something.

Try saving and continuing frequently to reset their spawning, maybe?

edit to fix

Just keep smacking rocks. You'll get it eventually. I lost a couple one night from not being quick enough with the net, but I just kept making rounds and got the third one.

What did you do when you saw that house centipede invading your house? Did you kill it or did you catch it and send it outside? They're a bit scary, I wouldn't like finding one of those inside my house.

To get the fly all you have to do is buy a turnip from Joan on a Sunday and let it rot then leave it on the ground. You'll get ants and occasionally flies as well.

Yeah, they like dark corners of your house like in basements and garages. Don't go looking for them though, they're nasty. And don't try to pick one up or anything crazy like that because they'll bite you hard. They're more likely to try to sneak into your house while it's raining to escape the rain. Yuck >.<

I unfortunately haven't been able to catch one in the game either. Just keep trying I guess? You'll get it eventually c:

You'll get one - Dewy's right. Once you learn to catch things from under rocks it will be easy. I always keep a couple because sooner or later a villager will ask for one. If you don't mind them keeping bugs in their houses you'll end up making one of them happy.

And yeah...in RL they are disgusting and a little dangerous. They also love to come in from outside if you have mulch. Only pea gravel or lava rock from now on in my gardens.

Yes, keep hitting rocks. I sometimes went around and around 3 times before one would pop out... I would not capture it, then would have to start again. I dont like the rock insects, so i sympatheize.

Oh god it would be horrible to see one in real life >~<
How in the heck does my character not freak out about holding one in her bare hands?!

Couldn't you also get them from the island in one of the tours? Not too sure if you could take them back with you after the tours though. But otherwise, keep on hitting your rocks, maybe save and continue a few times and you should find them pop out. It took me a long time to get the pill bug out, so I know how you feel :p

I caught mine by hitting each rock, then going around and hitting them again and got it 2nd time around.

Am I the only one whose hand goes for an invisible left-arrow button for a net every time I see a bug in real life?

Anyone? ;w;

It's creepy as all get out. It has a lot of thin legs. This is the first I heard of it being able to bite.

But yeah, keep hitting rocks, save to reset spawns. Rinse and repeat.
