It's not Christmas anymore.

christmas in july is not a real thing, lol, at least not that i've ever seen. i mean, a handful of sales here and there at certain stores, but other than that i've never seen any celebrating or anything remotely resembling the real thing.

also, that "solid month" is all of december, and all of december would be up until new year's day, wouldn't it??? all i'm sayin is that the abrupt end to all the christmas spirit stuff is kind of sad, that's all.

They do that in campgrounds, my neighbors had one Christmas party in July and one in December.

I second having Halloween all year long. Could even have spooky Valentine's Day and Christmas.

January: Snowyween
February: Loveyween
March: Hallogreen
April: Easterween
May: Mothersween
June: Fathersween
July: Independanceween
August: Summerween
September: Falloween
October: Halloween
November: Weensgiving
December: Holiween

Mine are staying up until the end of January.I do what makes me happy. I had to put mine up late this year, so I'm adding another month.

If you ask me, we should embrace the decorations for the traditions they originally came from - celebrating/bringing life and color to the darkest days of the year.

That means that I think that decorations like the lights and decorated trees could really stay up for quite a while longer. Even for a winter lover like me, it's always kind of depressing to see all of the decorations and colorful lights go away. These traditions began for a reason. I wish we would embrace them as brightening up winter-time, as opposed to associating them specifically with leading up to Christmas.

i left my christmas tree up all of 2016 because i couldn't be bothered taking it down
it's always christmas in your heart if you just believe

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that it is now December 26 / 27 depending on where you live, which means that Christmas 2016 has officially come and gone and it is now 364 days until next Christmas.

What, because you say so? I've always taken my Christmas decorations down at the start of the new year.

We leave it up until January. It keeps the spirit going. It'd be depressing to take everything down right when you just had a great time.

"I don't like thing. Stop doing thing now. I don't like thing."

My thoughts exactly, so because you don't like people celebrating the festive time from Christmas onward or even before hand and decorating prior to that day, means we should stop?

People can celebrate/decorate for however long they want because it makes them happy and just because it doesn't please you does not mean they cannot continue to do so, Let people be happy and make yourself happy.

In the catholic faith it's still Christmas u edgy dumbass

Just when I thought I couldn't be out fun policed you make this thread. Did the tree hurt you once pal

I don't really care what people do. I just like to point it out because Christmas has become so commercialized already. It's basically like Cinco de Mayo now.

The irony of this is that saying Christmas is over on the 25th is like the pinnacle of its commercialization because people don't recognize that christmas is a season anymore ???

Well damn, you're actually right lol. The only reference to the 12 days that I've ever heard is the song about getting stuff for 12 days, so you can't blame me too much. I still enjoy getting a rise out of people though ;)
