It's lovebug season

I went exploring in a small woodland today. I saw a lot of lovebugs today. They attacked my bike and my face D:

Disgusting! They freak me out.
They were common where i lived awhile ago, but i haven't seen much in recent years. Maybe that's just cause i never go outdoors.

IT'S LIKE PLAYING TOUHOU

This literally made me laugh out loud.

We just got back from a week in Florida visiting my grandparents, and we saw a few on the windshield. They live in Englewood, which is on the Gulf side, so maybe it wasn't so bad there. The few we saw were gross though. It was so weird to see them stuck together. I also saw some of the largest bugs in my life there. Yesterday I was in the bathroom in the middle of the night and I heard this clickety-clackety sound, and it was some huge beetle crawling on the tile floor. *shiver*

Blathers wouldn't last a freakin' day in Florida, or anywhere in the South for that matter.

Lovebug season at my old high school was ridiculous. They freakin' blanketed some walls. I haven't seen any since I moved, though.

They're not so bad now. At night it's about 65f or lower. But when the summer comes it's going to be murder. They thrive in 75-100. I'm ready. I have fire and a hairspray can.

They don't even do anything to me. They're just the most annoying creatures ever. The worst part is that they eat the paint off of cars.

Oh wow, I totally forgot about those bugs since I moved away from the south east area.
I used to pull them apart while they were mating, yay :'D

Oh god I just googled that and it had like two heads. I feel for you all. just a small spider makes me freak out. We don't really get crazy things in Canada.
(yet)

That doesn't look too fun. The northeast will be feeling your pain soon, we're getting the 17 year cicada invasion this year.

Lovebugs don't literally eat the paint off of cars, it's when they SPLAT that they can ruin the paint since their guts are so acidic. Blech.

I think I'd rather deal with lovebugs instead of cicadas though, since lovebugs aren't crazy noisy.
