Any Stephen Universe fans here?

I'm wondering if theres any fans of the show Stephen Universe on this forum! If so, who's your favourite gem? favourite season? when did you get into the show? What other shows do you like?

My favourite gems are peridot and lapis, and my favourite season is probably season 2, but season 1 and 5 are really good too. I got into the show when it was popular a few years ago. And I also like shows like adventure time, bravest warriors, regular show, and she-ra.

I like the show but haven’t seen a lot of it. I do like the message behind the overall series and how it displayed true character growth. I also liked how each of the Gems had their own unique personalities and interests and how they view the world.

Me too! It's very nostalgic! Season 2 is just so good, sworn to the sword is one of the best episodes I think.
Garnet is so cool too!

I do like she-ra!! I watched it a long time ago too. My favourite character is a hard question hmm.. probably entrapta or catra, but i also really like perfuma, shadow weaver, and double trouble : P

I found the Netflix reboot of She Ra to be very interesting. I liked how they made changes to the characters’ personalities and how Shadow Weaver became more of an anti-heroine. I thought it gave them more depth than the 80s cartoon and how not everyone in the Hoarde were truly evil and some were just victims of circumstances such as Catra and Scorpia.

Yeah! I personally like the reboot way more, I love all the characters : P

My favourites are also Entrapta and Katra, but I think they are all great in general ✧˖°

Glad you enjoyed the show! There was certainly a point where I'd say it was my favorite show. I've seen every episode and the movie. Favorite gem by type... most gems under Blue Diamond I like such as Sapphire and Lapis. Favorite fusion might be Garnet but Opal is awesome! I'm not sure about favorite season, but I loved when we starting getting more info on the Diamonds and their roles. I remember reading so many theories when the moon base murals were revealed, ahhh fun times. In terms of other shows in the same vein, I really enjoyed Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Over the Garden Wall, and The Owl House. So happy they're still working on Adventure Time!

Same! It was my favourite show for a while too. I lovedd the diamonds, I thought they were so interesting. Saphire is cool too, and I love the diamond's pearls, like blue pearl and yellow pearl. I watched so many theory videos as well XD. I love over the garden wall! It's been a while since I seen that show, and so many people have been talking about gravity falls I should probably watch it soon...

I liked the first season and maybe 2nd before they got very serialized. I just liked that wacky episodic feel it had. Like when Steven wants to make breakfast for his gem family and it just spirals out of control. It got a little too heavy-handed on the serialized drama towards the end for me.

I thought the Diamonds introduction was pretty great with how ruthless they wrote them out to be. I didn't like how they rewrote them in the end where they were sad about the universal war. They were dictators. I feel like they should've just kept ruthless villain persona instead of trying to have them gain our sympathy. They were very effective villains when they were introduced. One of them just stomps their subordinate out with their finger from what I remember. It really captures the feeling of how horrible they are. And what the main cast has to prepare for.

As a teenager, I was obsessed with Steven Universe, so I wrote an entire essay explaining the cartoon in high school. I eagerly awaited every new episode, even when it had been months without any. As I've gotten older, I realize the series is deeply flawed. I own the complete series on a DVD box set, but I'm afraid I won't enjoy it as much if I go back to it. I don't want my fond memories of watching the show for the first time ruined by noticing the animation errors, filler episodes, and rushed ending.

I actually have an interesting idea for a drag performance where I cosplay as Pink Diamond and lip sync to the song Diamonds by Herb Alpert featuring Janet Jackson.
