Item missing from pocket???

So last night I bought some throwing beans off of someone and i was playing with them and went into the train station and ended up just closing my ds planning on opening it later. I forgot and re opened the ds this morning, hit save a quit. When I loaded up my game again the beans were missing from my inventory! D:

I know I didn't put them in my locker, i even checked!

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Yeah I ended up saving later when i went to open my gate for a friend, they never came so that's why i went back in the station to close the gate then i closed my ds for it to go into sleep mode.
