Issue dota playing and dota gifs.

Firstly,
I was trying to figure out how the numbers line up between enemy damage taken and blademail with mana shield on and got results that are not the same, which was activated first and even depending on which hero was attacking me. Does anyone know exactly when the damage is supposed to be calculated?
Secondly,
Also I create many Dota GIFs. Not know if there is a better way to batch resize GIFs, Do you guys have some better tools for recommendations? Just look for ways to do that, Search online find some:
Image Resizer, Batch Watermark and there are many more, most of them didn't mention about GIF resizes.

mana shield blocks dmg before reductions. then u take the dmg after reductions. then blademail reflects the actual dmg u take.

dont buy blademail on medusa
