Isn't this weird?

Hello.
So recently i'm in a dreamie hunt and i just see something weird with the neighbors.

When you don't want em to move out they just come near to you and say that they want to leave because they want to see the world out of the town.
-They just not send letters
-They don't tell you anything about how was your day.
I'm saying this because this happen with Erik and Fauna. I want em to leave my town and now they both not come and tell me they want to leave. They both just disappear or talk to me just to say that is nice to see me. Weird...

Does the Villager know that you want to get rid of him or it's just me and a funny coincidence?

I think if you have a low friendship level they won't/are less likely to tell you they're leaving. So if you're not sending them letters, not taking or completing their requests, and don't talk to them that much, they won't tell you they're leaving beforehand.
