I went on the island you know CT. When i got on i was the only one so i just started fishing and some guy came on...normal so far...but he was quiet...he put on the crown and gold rose...the stuff i wear...wich was weird but still normal....then HE STARTTS READING OFF THE NAMES OF MY DESIGNS I HAVE.. I was shocked... He used the laugh emotion and i wnt to leave and he put a hole in front of the hut so i couldn't leave...but he could and tried to leave me...i just turned off my ds...

hackers usually make ct more interesting for me. i haven't been on it (or acnl in general) for about 6 months but thinking about it now i like to get on online late at night. although that's a bad experience i guess

Are they capable of doing any harm to you or your town? I think in Wild World you had hackers who would place a building in front of your gate, making multiplayer impossible. Can they do anything like that in this game?

doubt it. maybe if you invite them to your town or something. and i remember when people were able to completely ruin towns on previous games lol, i think cf too

I think CT is the safest from hackers actually harming your town or save file. The experience in this thread sounds a lot like a hack that was possible in WW and that hack actually was harmless to all players except for the hacker themselves.

ww just allowed you to get items that spawn in buildings. nl does not have those items. if someone would have the ability to do that, they would have to get to your town first

what's with all the island hacking lately? i'm sick of it! at best they're annoying attention seekers and at worst they're actively trying to harass strangers!!
