Is your mayor an OC?

I was wondering how many people create an OC for their mayor or make their mayor a little mini-me! I'm at a crossroad for my new town-to-be. In my first town, I have a mayor who isn't me, and I'm contemplating whether to make an OC or a mini-me for my new town.

So which did you do/prefer?

When I first started playing AC (wild world) I generally thought of the villager as "me" even though I always named them other things. Then when I started to add new characters to the cartridge (and buy new ones to have more towns) I realized that they can't ALL be me and started to make them have their own little oc personalities, and its never really gone back. My first character after getting NL WAS kind of like a mini me, but moreso though I'm sure that doesn't make sense, I guess like a caricature. But all the rest have been their own characters including all the characters in all four towns I've got right now (I reset the town that had the mini me in it and she got erased not moved).
Playing them as OC's makes it easier for me to custom form them to whatever feel I'm creating in the town, as opposed to that first town that sort of formed around the me character. I like the character and the town developing organically to compliment each other, and I like the mayors and other characters being individuals and often WAY different than I am myself.

I've always had my villager and mayor as me. However, I think it would be fun to have an OC. I played around with the idea of a character named Milk in Wild World...perhaps I could create an OC for her

My mayor started off the same as me but slowly evolved into a different character. I guess hes kind of both? More of a persona than actually me I guess? As i added more characters I started disconnecting myself from the mayor. So hes named after me, but hes not? So eh idk, its hard to answer. For the most part no.

It`s just me because I tap the buttons on the 3DS and my player character is based on myself somehow.

Yes, Lottie is one of 3 cat OC's that I have.
I went with her name, because it was my umpteenth time trying to get a good map and villagers, that I made a girl villager and named her after my OC.
I tried to make her look like my cat but more humanized...hasn't really worked, haahaa!

My second character is.
He's called Captain (idk XD), and he has a pirate theme around him. I may or may not change his Sea Captain's Coat into a QR Code pirate outfit. His house is placed on the very top left, and there is a slope a bit below where he lives. I placed white carnations and red lilies around, with cedar trees surrounding it.

My first mayor is named Jenna, after me. And I made her to look like me, so I guess she's me. But my second mayor is called Punky because I decided to have 2 different mayors with different faces etc.

My Mayor is based on me, and my two male alt characters are my Pokemon (Lickilicky and Gallade). My fourth alt is a girl called Joy who I've dressed up as Nurse Joy, and I think I'll decorate her house like a Pokemon Centre too ^_^

I have three chars... my Mayor (Foxxie), Nova and Queenie. All three are based somewhat on me, but are also OC's in a way? They all personify parts of my personality... Foxxie is the responsible one, Queenie is the cool one and Nova is the ditzy one! XD

Edit: Forgot to add that all three names are based on my usernames from various parts of the internet also!

My mayor is based on myself. I find I get more into the game when I use my own name, base their appearance off me, etc. Plus, I'm not creative enough to come up with an OC. XD

My mayor is me- at one point, I kind of wished I hadn't gone that route but I'm pretty okay with it now since I'd probably have trouble keeping up with using the main account as an OC that wasn't going to be a semi self-insert in a way (because ofc I'd try to complete the sloppy/modern furniture set first and use carpet flooring with blue-ish walls). The two characters I have planned are going to be OCs though, so I can set themes for their houses.

My mayor has the same name as me, the sameish personality as me, the same fashion choices as me, yet she just isn't me. If she was real she'd like be my friend or something, I don't know really! The reason she wears the same clothes as me is because I love t cute clothes and wouldn't dress my character in something I don't personally like. That's a teeny bit selfish, I know She has a similar personality because I want my room and town to kind of reflect my personality too and if she had a tougher personality and loved enjoyed darker colours not brighter ones, the theme of my town and house wouldn't work as well as it does now. To answer the question in short my mayor is very very similar.

My mayor is basically me, same catch phrase as me (Fabulous Darling! don't ask me why i always say that to my friends, i just do)
i make sure she dresses like me to, but i find i have so many clothes its hard to choose XD although my Mayor's room isn't at all like mine, its less pink and more realistic looking
