Is vaporwave dead?

In my college classes, even though many people are into memes, I haven't met many people who even know what vaporwave is. Do you believe vaporwave has died?

Yeah, it's being dying down for a while, but it's still objectively good and I'm glad it had the short time in the spotlight it did
