I use thonky all the time for some things that I can't be bothered to remember... like who's afraid of what on Halloween, who orders what from Brewster's Cafe, etc.... Do you think this is "cheating"? Does it even matter? Why or why not.

No it`s not cheating, but it`s a lot of fun to find out yourself. Though sometimes it is very difficult;)

It's not cheating at all! It's a guide, so it's not like it'd be considered cheating anyway.

wtf why would it be considered cheating if you really need help and or questions

Woah, we have a full 100% here! Sorry guys, I thought this might actually be controversial!! My bad. I'm not gonna request the thread closed, but wow. I totally did not think we'd have a 100% answer.

Depends on some people's preference on how to play the game. If thonky is considered cheating though, then I guess the prima guide would be the same in a sense. Theyre all there to help you, it's not like people have to look at them if they don't want to and that's the beauty of how you get to play your games.

I shall play devil's advocate (mwahaha!) and say yes, it is cheating, since you're using an outside source to get answers rather than the trial and error from playing the game. Of course, that really only applies to a few aspects of the game and who really cares anyways? :p

I don't think it's cheating. I enjoy looking around the website to learn more about the game. Before I bought my console and game, I watched several "Let's Play Animal Crossing" videos on YouTube. It definitely helped me on my first day! For example, I knew to talk to Isabelle a lot in order to get some free tools. I also learned what to expect on Halloween and Toy Day.

About the prima guide.. You shouldnt rely on it. It told me my fossils are worth 49,000 bells. You can imagine my dissapointment when reese said 6,000 bells.

I dont think thonky or any guide is cheating, but sometimes you cant rely 100% on it

No because i think there are some things that if you hadn't have looked up you'd never find out

Thonky is a guide to help users with the game. Its not considered cheating at all! So use it all you want, most people use it <3
