Well see, that's just it, it's about cute animals, so all of the animals are cute to someone in some aspect. =] You're free to like any villagers you like, not everyone has to love the "popular" villagers, if everyone only loves them nobody would have a home for the frumpy or scary looking ones!

I hate to spout an old adage, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That is why my towns include such lovelies as Paula, Rod, Pietro, Cousteau, Carmen, Octavian, Harry, Klaus, Del, Hazel, Coco and all the rest of my beautiful people.

its not weird at all. its just what you like and what you dont like.
everyone has a different taste, yes there are a few villagers that are popular, but that doesnt mean you have to like them.

Just because one thing is cute to someone doesn't mean another person will agree.

There are some villagers a lot of people find creepy but I think they're cool.
There are some I don't want in my town but THEY ARE HERE.

I actually feel the same way generally. I don't hate the pink/cute ones, but they're not my favorite. Other than Peanut, who gets a pass because "SQUIRREL", I prefer some of the other villagers. I'm still learning types though! Hazel was a favorite, as is Barold. My sister and I (we share my 3DS and game) are only letting them move so we can meet more villagers!

Lol definitely not weird. I don't see why you have to agree with the majority. Like who you like. If you find the most popular/"cute" villager unappealing, then that's your opinion! It's all good. I know have some different opinions on certain villagers. Everyone's different.

Some of my absolute favourite villagers are widely disliked, like Moose the mouse. I think I get what you mean! While I do have some villagers I like who are more cutesy, like Marcie, Dotty, and Marina, to me, the strange ones are more endearing, and certain popular cute villagers come off as sort of bland. Everyone has their own personal taste, it's not weird!!
