On "TheJWittz" Youtube channel, a video was recently posted bringing news about Nintendo scrapping its servers for the Nintendo DS, DSi, and Wii? (This DOES NOT INCLUDE 3DS OR WII U)

This virtually removes all WiFi functionality from all games of these systems (DSi and Wii ONLY, NOT WII U OR 3DS) from what it sounds like, and the servers are apparently going offline in May of this year according to the YouTuber.

I just sort of find it funny because Pokemon Black Version 2, and Pokemon White Version 2 were released only two short years ago. So, is this really happening? It just seems sort of quick even though the Nintendo DS and Wii systems are pretty old, games are still making their way to these aging systems.

Yah sometime in May (i believe). Kinda sucks really. It's only because Nintendo wants to save money by cancelling their servers since most people have transitioned to 3DS/Wii U

I wonder if that means no more hackers hacking pokemon on B/W/B2/W2.

I heard that you will still be able to "make" your own pokemon since pokegen etc use different servers or something like that. Not too sure

Yeah, pretty sure we'll still be able to use pokedit and stuff. They use their own server for downloading the pokemon on the GTS.

Nintendo might just disable the whole GTS though. Unlikely, but possible.

That's bee out for a few weeks. It will only be for DS, DSi and Wii. This unfortunately means to death of MKWii, but we still have the 3DS and WiiU I guess. ;u;

But yeah, it's true. May 20. :|
