Is this possible? 3 smug in 1 town

I was thinking about getting a smug villager but one popped up while I was in my house. So now I have 2 in my town already. so if I get the 3rd they won't show up will they?

You can have 10 of the same personality in your town .. But if you have 2 of one personality, and you have space for more villagers, that personality won't move in randomly.. You have to adopt them or get them from the campsite

Thank you. so there is a chance that can still get 3 smug villagers. The smug villager just popped in while I was in my house.
It wasn't there when I logged on. ugh what a pain.......I got Quillson. Wish I hadn't though. Sorry to complain I'm just annoyed at the game.

I have 3 jocks in my town (I hate most jocks actually haha), so as Hound00med said that it's possible to have 10 villagers with the same personality.

I currently have three Crankies in my town: Gaston, Elvis, and Hopper.

Hopper was gonna leave but I had a change of heart and made him stay. I love all of them cause they're so cute and my bros. <3
