Ok, im so sorry i keep posting these, im probably annoying the crap out of everyone. but i reset again and got this map, and i think i might keep it but im not sure. another factor is that i got fauna, who is a dreamie, as a starter villager! and i got peaches which i love, and the town plaza is central which i was looking for. what do you think? i would probably build my house right next to where that house is on the other side of the river at the bottom (not sure though) help! i trust everyones opinion :) also a pro is that there are only 2 ponds. thanks

btw faunas house is the one right next to retail, so i could create a straight line of villagers underneath hers.

I personally wouldn't go for this map. I'm not a fan of how the beach is laid out and I don't really like the shape of the river, though, you should pick a town map which suits you best ^^.

This is almost the map of my town!! Even the same plaza, lakes and and city hall.
Just the bridge on mine is some squares below, and there is one ramp for each section of the beach. And the Re-Tail is... hum, now that I see your Re-Tail, maybe it isn't a good map...

I'm not a fan of this map either because of the sliver of land on the upper left. Though I have seen people do some creative things with landscapes like that. Remember: It is easier to change your villagers than your map layout.

Wish you all the best!

I like how the train station lines up with the plaza. You can for something cool with that. The retail isn't that big of an issue, if you put a bridge connecting by the south waterfall. I like the private beach, but I'm not a real fan of the cliff layout... that's really nitpicky to me though, go with whatever you can work with :)

aah its so good. i refuse to settle for a bad map, im so obsessive with this game its insane.

lol... That is why i started my third town.. The first two I got around release and dint know i had a choice in maps.. This time i wasnt going to settle for a map i didnt fully like..i will say it did take a long time to get it.. you will find your perfect map.. Just might take a while..:)

I will give you a heads up though, as there isn't a lot of space for PWPs with this map. I'm lucky in that all the ones I want are minimal, but it would be a downside for a lot of people.

I ve been dealing with this as well.. Very hard to decide where to put the major PWPs as there isnt many options..BUT i love where you put your cafe and police station..

You should keep resetting until you find a map that you don't just like, but love. If you are going to put a lot of effort into making your town beautiful, you don't want to ruin your efforts from the start by picking a bad map.

While a pretty map is good, you also want it to be practical. The map layout with the river wrapping around the plaza in the middle looks pretty on paper, but you may regret having to go to the Re-Tail that is way off to the side. Like the person above said, that river eats a ton of space in your town (it takes up 9 acres compared to the one in your original post which only goes through 6 acres) and you might wish that you could have more than 3 bridges with that long river.
