Is this just a coincidence?

I'm doing the PWP trick where I stay in the corner of my map for like 10 minutes and then run around waiting for a ping (PLEASE GIVE ME THE PICNIC BLANKET, PHOEBE. PLS).

Every time I'm walking around waiting for a ping, there's always one pair of villagers interacting and speaking with each other... It's the most common when I'm doing this trick.

Is that just a coincidence or does the ping trick also work with villager conversations with one another?

When I was grinding PWP suggestions using the same trick I didn't see that all too often so I'm thinking it's just a coincidence. It does seem to increase the rate of villagers talking to each other but not at the high rate that you're experiencing. I can only speak in terms of personal experience tho.

Also as a side note you only need to do it for 5 minutes not 10 but I'm not sure if you were just exaggerating

It seems that each time I do the trick, theres somebody who's having a conversation. o: I think it may have something to do with it.
