Is "this is an awful big decision" mean no move?

Pekoe just mentioned that she wants to move. When I responded with an "I understand," thus giving her my permission, she replied with something like "This is an awful big decision that will take more thought." Or something like that.

I've never seen this wishy-washy answer before. Has anyone else? Is she moving or not? She's not telling my mule characters a thing and I have utterly failed to make her bring the subject up again. Urgh...

I've seen another thread where it happened to a campsite villager. Basically, the camper sends a letter that's along the lines of: I'll need to think more about moving into your town.

Not sure if she will move or not. Maybe that means she'll ask again soon?

Sounds like she hasn't made up her mind.

I think Dora told me this in my old town after I'd been trying to get her out for a while. I assumed it meant she'll ask me again, but it was a week after and she hadn't brought it up again and wasn't gone. I'm pretty sure this means she's staying.

Edit: you should reset for her to ping you again and maybe then she'll give you a more clear response

Urgh...I already saved, which maybe I shouldn't have. I'll try to get her to ping me again and keep using my other characters to see if somebody brings up her moving or not.

I'll update this thread when I find out for sure. Thank you all for letting me know that this sort of thing does happen and more often than I knew.

It was over a month ago, but I'm pretty sure she said the same thing
They're both normals as well

Gala said something like this, too. It was more like, "I would miss spending time with you." I TT a good ways ahead and started a new character and she was still there. In my case, I wanted her to stay, so it was a good thing for me.

Thank you all for your experiences with this wishy-washiness. . I'll definitely post my results here. Hopefully we can get a much clearer idea of what the heck our villagers are thinking. We'll...sort of thinking!
