But anyways, I heard that food doesn't exactly expire the day it says it does. It expires a little after but the companies just have to make the 'best by' date before it expires.
I mean think about it, they can't know EXACTLY when the food will expire, but definitely around what time.

Things like cheese and dairy products will usually have a "use by" date, because those expire pretty fast after you buy them. But things like chips and cereal will have a "best by" date, because they never really expire. It just gets more bland and stale.
