Is this a good town map?

I just restarted my game so I'm map resetting for a map I like.

A stumbled across this map. I do like the shape and how much space it has for PWPs and such. But I would like to see your opinions on this map.

I'd say the map is pretty solid, except for that house behind retail :/ hope its not a villager you like! I'd put my house in the top right corner, but I like doing that

It looks like a pretty good map, but I agree with the house behind retail. Hopefully it isn't a likable villager.

It's Hamphrey, whom I don't care much for so it's alright.

Yeah, I don't know either... Two of the villagers took the most decent spots.

its a nice, open map.
In my opinion I love having town hall near the plaza, rather than retail.

Not too many ponds either.

i think it's great!! because it's easier to landscape and plot reset when both halves are more or less even. landscaping on thin little islands is really hard with all the limits the game puts on where trees can grow lol

I would say that the number one thing for me with maps is plaza placement. my plaza is right in the middle of my town, and that's exactly where I want it. I've had three towns now after two resets, and my first and current town have basically identical maps. I found that with my second town, in which my plaza was up in the corner, that I always forgot to check there for visitors and thus barely bought any art from Redd/had my fortune told/did a fashion check because I always forgot to look. Now, since my plaza is in the center again, it's the center of activity again and I think that's really useful.

I love the town layout because it feels like there is a lot of space to work with. However, I also love having my town hall and plaza together (I just feel like they go together!) And also agree that Hamphrey needs to go. I personally would have liked the peninsula on the left for my own house, but I think you can be creative with this map!
