Is this a glitch?

Before I start all if this was quite a while ago! I'm just curious about what the heck happened
So I opened my mayor character on acnl and got onto talking to Isabelle. I was expecting her to say her usual 'oh we've all missed you, we haven't seen you for months!' When I realised she said the date was the first of January 2012! (By the way it was late June this past year) was this just a glitch? Has it happened to you? I'm not that bothered, I've got a new town now,but I was just confused

Did you change the time on your 3DS system, or are you using a different 3DS than normal to play New Leaf?

it may be a number of things but whats important is that you didnt continue without changing it back
is the time on your 3ds correct ??
