Is there no way to send friends gifts via mail?

I can't send my online friends post cards with gifts? Is the only way to give someone a gift to visit their island while they are there? If so, that's pretty lame...

I don’t know if I am interpreting what you are asking wrong...but yes you can send your friends gifts, either by attaching the gift to a postcard in the airport, or by sending from the nook shopping app at the nook stop or in the app.

You can only send them gifts if you have switch online and also have visited each other at least once.

Nothing wrong with asking questions, though it would probably be better to ask them in the FAQ thread that's stickied at the top of this subforum.

As Cass123 said, you need to have visited them online before you can send them a letter. They may need to visit you as well, I'm not sure on that.

i think you can pretty much mail everything except bugs & fishes. never tried hybrids (plant) or tress, probably not? but yes you must have visited their island once which mean both of you have nintendo online subscription
