I had to let somebody go.. And it was either him or Astrid.. And at this stage I just can't let Astrid go, I've had her far too long

But I think I'll get him in my Pok?mon town, it's easy to find a Pok?mon for him to represent (psyyyyy...)

This sounds far too strange to me. Since you're at max friendship, it's GOT to just be RNG, or if you're not max friendship with others. I think someone else TTed a year in game just to get Chadder out? I honestly can't think of anything other than extremely, EXTREMELY bad luck. It's a scary case, though. I'm so sorry you had to let Joey go, and I hope that you can get Kid Cat to move now... :/

I've actually decided I'm doing a clean-sweep.. 3 more of my dreamies are gonna be moving out, and I will do another 16 cycle.. I'm gonna hate this, but this should hopefully get the ball rolling and KC can move..

I'm doing this simply because I absolutely despise the house placements of Rocket and Bangle.. So while I'm doing this (Kid Cat needs to go one way of another).. I'm just gonna switch things around to how I originally planned but my impatience got in the way

I'm having the same problem with Deli or whatever his name is...

He moved in on the DUMBEST DUMBEST place ever (on my paths/hyrbids, right in front of retail) and no matter what I do, he doesn't want to leave... he barely pings... and that when I can find him -_-

I hope further versions of this game have better control over positioning/animals moving...

This is about 5 villagers into my 16 cycle (after moving 4 other villagers out) .. I haven't had Erik ping me since I started either, so it's just taken a little longer, but it's clear that that IS the solution.

You must have one villager move out (and possibly in, I don't know 'cos I started my clean sweep straight after Joey went) for a your latest move in to go!

Yeah, that confirms what I experienced with Cyrano. It was only after another villager left my town, that he pinged to move. No one moved in first, though. He actually pinged me two days after that other villager had left. So just having a villager move out seems to be sufficient (but I still wonder why other people don't have that problem; just a case of bad luck or something else?).

Good on finally getting kid cat gone. I wish i was as lucky as you. Wendy just wont ping, im at max friendship and shes not even the most recent move in (both ken and molly have moved in since)
