Is there any reason a villager won't move?

I am trying to get Ankha cycled out, but she won't ping. It's been over three hours. Everyone one else has pinged MULTIPLE times to move, but not her. Some have pinged four times! I always go to her house first, but she will not ping. Any ideas would be most helpful.

Is she your 10th villager? Its near to impossibility to move a 10th villager. Either get another villager to move or you're stuck with Ankha. Unless you're blessed by the RNG Gods.

I actually only have nine villagers currently.

And I have had someone move in after her.

Hmm, then try raising the friendship with her. Villagers tend to move if you have a high friendship with them.
And heres the method i used to boot a villager out.

1. Run around town to get moving pings
2. If a villager you wanna keep pings u, deny and TT 6 fays forward
3. Load and save immediately after u TT 6 days forward
4. TT 6 days backward to the current time.

Rinse and repeat this untill Ankha pings you.

Random idea - is it near her birthday in your town?

When it is near someone's birthday in cycling towns, they tend not to move out - probably in hopes of getting a present.

Have you talked to her ever? Keep talking to her every time you're cycling, but talk to everyone else too. Just try to get her friendship level higher than everyone else. It ususallly does the trick.

I once had Lolly refuse to move for multiple 50 year cycles. Nearly 150 times I cycled other villagers!!! Why? Because I only talked to her and not everyone else - so she thought she was special and she was my only friend! Eventually I realized my mistake and talked to other villagers. She eventually moved out!
