is there a way to get rid of rooms in your house?

so when upgrading my house tom nook asked a question along the lines of ?...to the left, to the right or in the centre?, which i thought meant the different walls of the house but it actually means the left right and centre of only one wall? so now one of my rooms is in the left corner of the wall rather than in the centre. is there any way to remove/change the position of the rooms from your house?

no go to him and pay off your loan then he will let you add another main floor room

What sammybam88 said. There's no way to demolish any aspect of your house. You'll just have to pay it off and build the next room.

As the others have said, unfortunately you cannot remove or demolish rooms once they're built. You also cannot shrink them once they've been expanded.

But if I'm understanding you correctly, you're also concerned about the placement of the doorway to the room. That is not something you can change or select either. If you add a room to either the left or right side of your house, the doorway will always be towards the bottom of your main room. That threw me off at first because I was expecting it to be centered, but there is no way to do that in this game. Only the back room will have the doorway centered along the back wall.

LadyDestani is right. You can't change the position of the doorways and you can't take down a room or redo it. Once the room is built, it's permanent. Rooms can't be demolished and I have to admit, it's kinda of annoying, especially if you want to redo a room's size. :/
