Is there a villager you thought you liked, but just couldn't connect with?

In my case, it was Margie. I spent a lot of time trying to find her in the campsite and I was so happy when I did! I had her for a little while and tried my best to connect with her, but I just couldn't. I just had 0 sense of friendship with her. I ended up letting her go in favor of Sylvana, so hopefully I can become better friends with her than I did Margie.

I feel that. I dunno what it is with certain dreamies that seem super appealing until you actually get them on your island! It definitely stinks to have to let them go but if you can't connect with them there's no real reason to have them around.

Aaaa I feel this one too!! I got Zucker's amiibo and was stoked to have him around and I did for a little while, but I just couldn't connect with him the way I did in my NL town. It felt so weird!

Muffy for me. I wanted her so bad because she was a goth sheep and that is right up my alley

I was excited when I saw her on a mystery island that I took her immediately, but she never clicked with me that I ended up letting her move. I feel even worse because I accidentally voided her, but thankfully I have her amiibo.

Yeah I can definitely relate. I spent around 2-3 days campsite resetting for Margie and only ended up having her for a couple of weeks before I just let her leave. I had her in my NL town too and I loved her there.

Beau. I loved him New Leaf and was ecstatic to find him on an island. But I just... wasn’t feeling him. Idk why. It was just so... different.

And when I was TTing to get a certain villager to move, it was usually Beau with the thought bubble/wanting to leave (like 3 times out of 5). It frustrated me so I let him go.

Erik. He was one of my favorites from New Leaf, I found him while island hopping so I invited him to move in.

Literally his first full day on my island and he gets into arguments with two of my favorite villagers, less than 10 minutes apart at that. When he asked to move out recently I was like "yep, go ahead buddy" lol

There have been quite a few amiibo villagers I've invited in but just couldn't befriend them despite loving their designs, which is very unfortunate
Amiibos just.. aren't the same as villagers moving in randomly or finding them on islands. I already knew this, but I still used them.
I can still bond with amiibo villagers, it just isn't as easy I suppose.

Reneigh! She was one of my original villagers but I just didn’t connect with her sadly I gave her multiple presents that she never wore. Villagers seem harder to get to know in NH for me.

I honestly feel they changed smug personality so much from new leaf. I definitely saw the change since my dreamie was a smug too and had him in new leaf. I felt he was less charismatic in new horizons. they did smugs dirty.

This happened with me and Zucker. I have Sherb in my town who is a Lazy type and he's y best bud, but I just can't connect with Zucker like I did in the past. Not sure what it is

I don't agree with this at all! They made smugs so much better imo, the ones they did the dirtiest is lazies
