Is there a spoiler-free unlocking guide to New Leaf?

I undusted my 3DS last week and picked up a New Leaf module for 20 bucks after becoming weary of the slow New Horizons updates. I don't want to wait for 2 years or longer for added building or functions, or realize that they (or any new content) may never come.

I'm looking for a spoiler-free unlocking guide for main street etc., i.e. one that does not tell me what I'm unlocking, just what I have to do.

I want to follow the game's design, which is being surprised by and wondering what is being built at the construction sites.

That is, I'm looking for this simple to-do format:

• spend 8000 bells at Able Sisters
• donate 50 items to the museum
• wait for one week after donating 50 items to the museum

Is there something like this out there? I've googled at bit and checked GameFAQs, but everything seems to explicitly mention what is being unlocked, so I only glanced at it (already picked up spoilers). I will be really grateful to anybody who would like to compile it. I'm certain it will help other players who are in the same boat right now.

Not that i know of, but the best advice i can give you is buy everything, upgrade your house as much as you can and interact with all the special visitors. Then you are bound to unlock everything, even if you don't know exactly what you are unlocking.

Thanks! This indeed helps, I thought about not upgrading the house too much in favour of other activities like building bridges... I know I have to donate 50 items to the museum, will there be anything to unlock beyond this number?
