my favourite song would most likely be the one i associate with my town K. K. Cruisin'
however, forest life and 11 pm are also two i think fit really well
I think it would be my town tunes. In Sakura, the town tune is Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast. It's upbeat and inviting, which is how I wanted that town to feel. In Nocturne, the town tune is Beethoven's Silence, which is darker and more solemn, perfect for a gothic Victorian-esque town in my opinion. So when I think of a song that embodies my towns, I think of those town tunes.
My town tune. I created it myself and it sounds soo cool. I think I kinda copied off of The Legend of Zelda Orcarina of Time, which is the time song itself and modified it a little bit. I actually really love it and always use it as my town tune all the time.
For Moriyo, the town tune. Because it sounds really nice and matches the theme despite being a Kingdom Hearts tune lol.
For Treehut, the openings to Rune Factory Frontier and Rune Factory 4. Treehut is based off of those games. I actually made an original town tune for Treehut based off of Rune 4's Yokmir Forest intro c:
I can't really say for Luminosa or Townie, nothing specific anyway.
My town tune is a bunch of random notes that I smashed together until I liked it, so considering I don't usually notice it, I don't associate it with my town. Two Days Ago is my favorite K.K. song, and somehow the first I obtained, so I do associate that with myself/original town.
In my second town, I made my town tune a clip from a real song, and now I hear the song in my head every single time if starts up in game LOL. So I definitely associate that song with my second town.
For my first town, it's the 1am theme since I set my dream address specifically with that time. For my second town, it is the Konohana town theme since I'm basing my second town off of Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns.
My town tune, which isn't that good because I made it when I was 11, K.K marathon, it was the first song I put into my phonogram which I got from a trade, and some of the hourly tunes like the 2:00pm ones and the 8:am ones. Also the new leaf title screen theme, but that's pretty much everyone so....
Hourly tunes: Time ranging from 10 pm to 6 am. I remember those times when I left the 3ds on overnight while charging to listen while I sleep. I did that for at least 2 years until I had to stop.
K.K. Slider songs: K.K. Disco and Bubblegum K.K.. K.K Disco has a strong connection with me because it was my first song that I obtained from K.K. Slider. I had a music player prior to getting it and it takes me back to those times when my house was really small and times being much more simpler. As for Bubblegum K.K., that song lifts up my spirits. And from time to time, me and my sister would come up with random lyrics whenever the song came up. She tried to sing in Tangy's voice as we imagined.
Town Tunes: I've had different ones over the years so I'll list them in order. The iconic Legend of Zelda theme. I'm a huge fan of the series and have played it ever since I was a toddler. My town flag even resembles Link from the very first game! The next town tune is the first few notes of Wallace & Gromit. In case you didn't know, it's a stop-motion animation by Aardman where Wallace and Gromit (who is a dog) makes a ton of cracking contraptions. I rewatched their films a lot as a kid so it resonated with me. And of course, their main theme is awesome. Lastly, the F1 theme by Brian Tyler, which is the current one I'm using. I've been watching that motorsport since 2018 after my interest was sparked by a few youtubers playing the F1 games and race highlights. So I decided to share my passion for it through a town tune.
All of this is so interesting! I admire the thought and personal meaning to each song/tune you believe is important to you.
Hey Jude, seeing as it's so bittersweet/cute, always made me think of Lucille after I made it my town tune. It's been my tune for three towns in a row, actually, over the course of a year. It sorta reminds me of Bus Stop by The Hollies, which is also a charming, rainy day song that reminds me of Animal Crossing.
K.K. Fusion is a song I love because I've always loved chip tunes/electronic game music. Steep Hill on the other hand was a song I first heard in City Folk. It was such a sad but motivating song I listened through the whole thing is silence totally stunned lol. I listen to it when I'm doing chores, work, and school because of its literal 'climbing a steep hill' feeling.
There were two songs I never mentioned- Go! K.K. Rider and K.K. Bossa.
Go! K.K. Rider is my brother's favorite Animal Crossing song, and I always look back on our first City Folk town we had years ago when I hear it. K.K. Bossa is the same for me, as it was one of my first songs from K.K. at the Roost; good old memories of childhood Animal Crossing.
