Is there a limit on Jacob's ladder flowers?

For the past couple weeks, neither me or my friend have had a Jacob's Ladder grow in our towns. I have around 4 or 5 in a fenced area, so is there a limit to how many can be in the town at a time.

Also, do they stop growing in autumn?

I'm pretty sure they just spawn randomly. It's kind of on/off for me as well since I'll have weeks where I'll get one a day and then nothing for a while.

I don't think there's a limit, I have around 10-ish in my town currently.

There isn't a limit where they stop spawning, at least not a limit that I am personally not aware of. It's really uncommon to get one.

I got about five or six not long after getting my first one, then they just stopped spawning. Constant checking with Isabelle reveals that I've had perfect town for most of that time. Either the limit is about seven or eight, or it's all completely up to luck.
