Is the spawning rate of the new villager higher?

It’s just a curious question I was wondering about the other day.

On my second trip to the mystery islands I found Raymond. Judy is a random move in today. And my friend started her town with Reneigh.

Out of 391 villagers, what are the chances we encountered 3 of the new ones within the first few weeks of playing the game.

Has anyone else found this?

It seems to be the case for me too! The first time I visited a mystery island on my first switch, I meet Megan on the island. On my second Switch, I happened to get Audie by chance on a mystery island too, like within the first 3 visits or something.

I haven`t seen any of the new villagers yet. Its definetly very coincidental that you and your friend encountered so many new ones. But other than that, I think people are more likely to share new villagers popping up than the standard villagers no one likes.

I've only met Audie out if maybe 100ish mystery tours and put of two campers I've had neither were new villagers.

I just think you guys are really lucky.
