Is the Sea Pig supposed to be very rare?

I've been trying to catch one for 3 hours now. I've caught everything else.

Maybe you're diving at the wrong hour. For northern hemisphere, it shows up around 4pm-9am. But yeah, it's rare since it sells for 10k bells. As rare as the Gigas Giant Clam and Vampire Squid.

It's achievable. With minimal effort my GF and me been able to catch sea pig as well as other "November creatures".

Caught 3 new diving creatures and after a long time I switched to a Mystery Island. 30 minutes later I caught the red king crab and the Sea Pig.

Just go after everything and you'll get one.

That aren't super fast or large.

Just caught a sea pig about an hour ago after very minimal searching so it was a nice surprise. Still working for the Venus Flower Basket, been looking for about a month now....

Do not feel bad. it took me from 12am to 3 am to find it and The Red King crab.

Just caught a sea pig about an hour ago after very minimal searching so it was a nice surprise. Still working for the Venus Flower Basket, been looking for about a month now....

For me it was like two hour in when i was looking for the pig and red king. But before on a friend south island i found it after 2 hour looking for it like i did last night ather midnight

It took me five dives completely filling my pockets before I found the elusive sea pig. Donated. Never again!

I finally got all November sea creatures! The elusive sea pig took me a few hours. (I lost count.) Just to share my experience, I had to excavate three pearls and catch three umbrella octopuses before encountering one. (It's really that rare.)

The two crabs didn't take that long to get.
